Nikola Ukićs künstlerischer Ansatz liegt in der Zusammenführung von Skulptur, Photographie und Performanz. Ukić gießt dafür sein bevorzugtes Arbeitsmaterial Polyurethan auf Folien, die er zuvor mit Bildmotiven gestaltet hat. Das sich auf diesem flexiblen Negativ unkalkulierbar ausdehnende Polyurethan verbindet sich im Verfestigungsprozess mit dem applizierten Bild. Dabei nimmt es eine skulpturale Form an, die zugleich selbst Bildträger wird.
